Advanced

Our Advanced training group is comprised of competitive skaters who have mastered the basics of speed skating and are now focussed on developing advanced elements of speed skating technique, learning racing strategies and tactics, and improving speed and endurance.

These programs include both on-ice training and dryland training with certified coaches.

Skaters in our Advanced program compete at both provincial and national levels in either the ‘Provincial Circuit’ or the ‘Elite Circuit’ of competition, as well as participate in the NEXTGEN (Skating Excellence Training) Program and SSO Hubs Program.

Advanced practices 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays for approximately 2 hours at at time.
