Train 2 Train & Learn 2 Compete
Our Train to Train and Learn to Compete programs usually practice at the same time and include older skaters who have mastered the basics of speed skating and are now focussed on developing advanced elements of speed skating technique, learning racing strategies and tactics, and improving speed and endurance.
These programs include both on-ice training and dryland training with certified coaches.
For 2021/22 we have split our Train to Train groups by age into T2T-1 and T2T-2. T2T-1 practices separately on Thursdays in order to receive more targeted training to develop skating and competition skills.
Skaters in our Learn to Compete program compete at both provincial and national levels as well as participate in the NEXTGEN (Skating Excellence Training) Program.
