KW Sertoma Speed Skating Club Summer Programs

Skating doesn’t stop for us over the summer months! Our club hosts camps and a summer ice program designed to help skaters continue practicing and honing technical skills throughout the summer.

Watch this page for details on the camps and programs we will be offering for Summer 2019!

KWSSSC Summer Camp

Our summer camp is always a popular program, and this year we’ve made it even better.

Join us for a fun and educational camp running from July 5-8th, focused on two groups of skaters:

FUNdamentals – 5-12 year old FUNdamentals skaters.

The emphasis for this group is FUN speed skating with 10.5 hours of ice!

Your Turn 2 Train – 9-14 year olds who have at least one year of racing experience with goals of improving their competitive skating skills.

The emphasis for this group is technical & tactical training with 12 hours of ice!

**Note that We also welcome Learn to Speed Skaters into our FUNdamentals group – this camp would count as the prerequisite we require prior to signing up for a full season with our club.

The program includes 15 ice sessions generally on Monday nights from 4-6pm at RIM Park in Waterloo. Skaters are welcome to join the ice whenever they can if they cannot make it for the 4pm start.

There are 2 dates in May at Sportsworld Arena from 5-6pm, please view our Schedule page for details on locations and times of practice.
